The data provided by the State of Florida Courts System contained "unidentified confidential sealed and expunged records", which is in violation of Section 943.0585 of the Florida Statutes. Consequently Premier InfoSource and NBD complied with the request by the State of Florida and removed the data "immediately until further notice." On April 12 during a meeting held in Tampa, Florida for Judges, Lawyers, Court Officials and Law Professors, further clarification was provided regarding the State's position and threat of penalties, "All companies with this data must cease the use of the data or face violations imposed by the State of Florida." Premier InfoSource and NBD's position is to act within the best interest of its clients. Therefore, the Florida Courts data has been removed until further notice to protect their clients from liability and criminal penalties imposed by the State of Florida. If and when the data legally becomes available, Premier InfoSource will again make it accessible to its clients. Until such time Premier InfoSource continues to offer on site County Criminal Searches of all Florida's Counties and for those mandated in Florida, the FDLE Statewide Police Database Search.
